A tip to:Print coverage description
What is coverage? What exactly does the printer "5% coverage A4 paper" mean?
"Coverage" refers to the percentage of the area covered by ink/toner relative to the area of the whole printing paper when printing. Therefore, 5% coverage refers to the area of the paper covered by ink/toner is 5% after printing, but it does not represent how many words or pictures can be printed. At present, the industry generally uses 5% coverage. Let's take A4 paper as an example. The area of an A4 paper is 623.7cm2 (21 * 29.7cm). According to the coverage ratio of ink/toner to paper is 5%, that is, the coverage area of ink/toner is 623.7cm2 x 0.05=31.185cm2. Of course, this is only the case of printing a small amount of ordinary text. The shorter the printed text, the less the ink/toner coverage on the paper. If you change to print pictures, the ink/toner coverage on the paper will increase, and the amount of ink/toner used will also increase.
